Child & School Psychology CE courses are offered as Category H: Formal Self-Study.
Up to 40 Hours of Formal Self-Study
NASP currently permits NCSPs to earn up to 40 CPD hours from formal self-study activities during a renewal cycle.
This means an NCSP may complete up to 40 qualifying CPD hours through formal self-study courses such as those offered by Child & School Psychology CE.
Completion Documentation
After successfully completing a course, learners receive a certificate documenting completion information for professional development records.
Keep your certificates as part of your NCSP renewal documentation.

What Is NCSP Category H?
Category H is NASP's self-study category. NASP distinguishes between formal self-study and informal self-study.
Formal self-study includes structured educational programs developed to teach specific knowledge or skills. NASP specifically notes that formal self-study may include courses completed on the Internet and that these programs commonly include an assessment and certificate of completion.
As of NASP's current guidelines, NCSPs may earn all 40 Category H hours through formal self-study. Informal self-study has a lower limit.
