New Hampshire School Psychologist Renewal Overview
What Can Count Toward New Hampshire CE?
New Hampshire recognizes continuing education experiences designed to continue a licensee's education in current developments, skills, procedures, or treatment relevant to the licensee's field of practice.
Qualifying activities may include seminars, workshops, home-study courses, and academic courses.
Continuing education may be completed remotely or in person, subject to the additional requirements that apply to specific CE categories.

Can NASP-Approved Courses Count for New Hampshire Renewal?
New Hampshire's Category A rule expressly includes the National Association of School Psychologists among the organizations whose approved seminars, workshops, and home-study courses qualify for Category A credit.
This makes NASP-approved professional development especially relevant for New Hampshire school psychologists. Qualifying NASP-approved courses may be used toward the requirement that at least 30 of the 40 CE hours come from Category A activities.

Six Hours of Live, Interactive Ethics Training
New Hampshire has a more specific ethics requirement than many states. At least six of the required 40 continuing education hours must meet all three of the following conditions.
40 Hours of Collaboration Are Also Required
In addition to continuing education, each active New Hampshire psychology licensee must complete 40 hours of professional collaboration during the licensing period.
Collaboration must be live and interactive and may occur remotely or in person.
Examples include small-group meetings, supervision or consultation, study groups, case conferences, interactive professional conferences, and certain other collaborative professional activities.
School Psychologists Must Also Maintain NHDOE Certification
New Hampshire school psychologists have an additional credential consideration that is important for renewal.
When renewing a school psychologist license through the Board of Psychologists, the applicant must provide a copy of their current New Hampshire Department of Education certification.
This means school psychologists should monitor both their professional license requirements and their educator-certification requirements.

Can New Hampshire School Psychologists Take Online CE Courses?
Yes. New Hampshire expressly permits continuing education to be completed remotely or in person.
The rules also expressly recognize home-study courses, and NASP is listed among the organizations whose approved home-study activities may qualify as Category A continuing education.
Child & School Psychology CE offers structured, asynchronous, NASP-approved professional development designed specifically for school psychologists and related professionals.
These self-paced courses may be useful toward New Hampshire's Category A CE requirement, but the state's six required ethics hours must separately be completed in a live, interactive format.

New Hampshire requires licensees to document attendance or participation in continuing education activities submitted for license renewal. The Board also conducts random CE audits.
NASP-Approved Hours May Serve Both Credentials
Nationally Certified School Psychologists have separate NASP continuing professional development requirements. Because New Hampshire explicitly recognizes NASP-approved professional development as Category A CE, qualifying courses may be useful toward both New Hampshire license renewal and NCSP renewal when each credential's requirements are met.
