Child & School Psychology CE (CSPCE) is committed to addressing participant concerns about its continuing education (CE) programs in a reasonable, ethical, fair, and timely manner. This page explains how to raise a concern and how it will be handled.
What you can raise
You may submit a complaint or grievance about any aspect of a CE program, including course content, instructional quality, accessibility, technology, CE credit or certificates, assessments, instructor conduct, administrative matters, or other conduct of CSPCE.
Who to contact
- Primary contact: Jaime Flowers, Ph.D., NCSP, LEP, BCBA, Program Administrator and Director of Continuing Education — jaime.flowers@childschoolpsychologyce.com
- Alternate contact: Jillian Dawes, Ph.D., Psychologist Planning Committee Member — jdawes@citadel.edu. Contact Dr. Dawes directly if your concern involves a course taught or authored by Dr. Flowers, a decision made by Dr. Flowers, or any situation in which an independent reviewer would be more appropriate. Dr. Dawes will review the concern independently.
- Mail: Child & School Psychology CE, 270 Shoreline Drive, Nacogdoches, TX
How to submit a complaint
- Send a written description of your concern by email (or mail) to the appropriate contact above. Include your name, the course title, the date you took or attempted the course, a description of the problem, and the outcome you are seeking.
- You will receive an acknowledgment within 5 business days.
- Your concern will be reviewed. We may ask you, the instructor, a Planning Committee member, or another relevant person for more information.
- You will receive a written response describing the outcome and any action taken, usually within 30 days of the acknowledgment. If more time is needed, we will let you know.
Possible resolutions
Depending on the concern, resolution may include clarification of a policy or course requirement, technical assistance, correction of an error (including a certificate correction), access to alternative or corrected materials, an accessible alternative format, a course substitution when appropriate, a refund, or another reasonable remedy.
CSPCE offers a full refund within 30 days of purchase if a course has not been started (see our Refund and Returns Policy). Requesting or receiving a refund does not replace or limit this grievance procedure. You may submit a complaint whether or not you request a refund, and concerns about program quality, professional standards, or ethics are reviewed even when a refund has been provided.
Records and program improvement
Written complaints and their resolutions are documented and kept with CSPCE’s CE records. Information from complaints is also used to improve our programs; when a concern involves course content, assessment, instructional quality, or accessibility, it may be referred to the Continuing Education Planning Committee for review.
